It has recently been revealed that a sequel to Destiny was supposed to release this month on consoles, with the original game meant to release back in 2013.

The information was revealed through court documents obtained by an online source, after the documents were revealed as a result of the long standing lawsuit between Bungie and composer Marty O’Donnell, who worked on Halo for the developer.

The above scanned copy of the court document refers to Destiny under the name of “Project Tiger”, and shows that the original version of Destiny was meant to release back in September of 2013, with sequels following every other year, up until 2019.

However the court documents also revealed that Destiny was delayed by around a year from September 2013 to September 2014, mainly due to the huge revisions to the story of the game. The revision to the storyline of Destiny were said to be “substantial.”
