At the Tokyo Game Show press conference, Sony announced the latest addition to the King of Fighters franchise, The King of Fighters XIV, will be coming to the PS4.
The short reveal trailer (seen below) shows, above all else, the game has transitioned to 3D visuals, something SNK Playmore has tried before with the series, albeit briefly. However, the company is quick to add core gameplay will not be affected, “This brand new KOF numbered series title features high-quality 3D visuals, however staying true to the gameplay roots of the series.”
Few details were revealed as of yet. What is known is that the game will be available in Japan in January. If it is an exclusive to Playstation 4 is still in question.
