The four player co-op action RPG, Warhammer: Vermintide, is available to play at EGX.  The title features co-operative gameplay against the Warhammer race, the Skaven.

The title is the product of love from the developer Fatshark, who are huge Warhammer fans.  Lead level designer, Daniel Platt, told us that he believes the Skaven don’t get much love in the Warhammer universe.

“The Skaven are a pretty diverse race, they have a lot of infantry.  We feel there’s been not that many fantasy games that focus on them, we wanted to show them off again.”

The game features a number of playable characters, each with their own magical melee and ranged arsenal, to make for a varied and customizable play style.

Platt also mentioned the future of the game, saying if the game did well then they would think about providing DLC for Vermintide.

Vermintide is going to be released on the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Vermintide will be released on October 23rd for the PC version, with the console version following in early 2016.
