Final Fantasy XIII strayed away from the formula of most Final Fantasy games. Instead of giving us one game with amazing characters, unique weapons and armor, and an epic storyline, it gave us three. While other titles in the series have had sequels, this became a trilogy within itself, concluding with Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII.
