Nintendo revealed three new amiibo figures coming to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, today at E3. The Archer Link amiibo is shown holding a bow, while Rider Link is presented on horseback with a hood draped over his head. Along with the heroic figures, a larger amiibo of a Guardian was shown as well. The Guardian will be the first amiibo to include flexible parts.

The Wolf Link amiibo, which launched with The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD, was announced to have functionality in Breath of the Wild. Wolf Link can be scanned in once a day and will aid Link in a variety of ways. Wolf Link acts as a companion following Link in his adventures, he can attack nearby enemies, hunt for wild animals, and sniff out specific items. Depending on the player’s Twilight Princess HD save data, the amount of hearts Wolf Link has will vary.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was announced earlier today alongside a brand-new trailer. Nintendo has shown numerous ways the game plans to change previous conventions of the franchise.

The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild will release on Wii U and NX sometime in 2017.
