Last week, the Big N finally showed off it’s long awaited new hardware, the Nintendo Switch. No longer do we have to refer to it as the mysterious NX, as we now have confirmed that it is a hybrid console for both home and mobile, with detachable controllers and great software coming with it. Seeing all of this in action with the reveal trailer was a great treat, but there is still much to learn.

In his first interview after the Nintendo Switch was shared with the world, President Tatsumi Kimishima made a statement that brings even more excitement to gamers around the globe. “By no means was that everything.” He went on to say that the Nintendo Switch is part of a larger plan with more accessories that should help to build the company back up to its successful times with the Wii.

Part of these secrets, along with the price and release date, will be shown during the presentation on January 13th. Kimishima encouraged players to get used to the hardware, before being too concerned over the software. He stated, “One thing we still can’t show is the software lineup. We want people to touch the device in January and experience the software for themselves.”

The Nintendo Switch will be released sometime in March of 2017.
