There has been one constant since the long awaited Final Fantasy XV was first unveiled to us. It’s not gameplay or not even the title of the game, it’s that the main characters have always been shown to wear black.
Hajime Tabata, Final Fantasy XV’s game director, says there is a reason for the black clothing. According to Tabata it is because the clothing is the battle attire for those in the Kingdom of Lucis.
Tabata notes that the various members are part of a specific organization within the kingdom and how their clothes are stylized attributes to what station they are in regards to military rank.
Tabata also mentioned that the color black itself has some significance itself within the game universe.
Final Fantasy XV aims to have a release sometime in 2016.
