The release of Mass Effect: Andromeda is only two weeks away, and every day, EA and BioWare tease something new about the game. The latest trailer demonstrates the dangers of the Andromeda Galaxy, and there is no such thing as a simple mission.

Less than a week ago, the official Mass Effect YouTube page released a video which explains the concept of “Golden Worlds” and why the Andromeda Initiative chose them for potential new homes. According to the launch trailer, none of the worlds “panned out,” which leaves the mission in a bit of a bind. The initiative needs to find more resources, which requires more people, but it needs to secure resources in order to support these people first. This is a classic dilemma that is sure to test the resolve of the characters in the game.

The trailer also teases several hints about the main antagonists of Mass Effect: Andromeda, known as the Kett. According to Alec Ryder, the Kett are “visitors,” which implies they might not be from the Andromeda galaxy. Furthermore, the trailer shows a strange creature with chitinous bone armor not unlike the Kett, once floating in a large green vat and again jumping down from a platform. Bone armor aside, this creature is remarkably similar to a Krogan. BioWare could simply be repurposing an existing skeleton model to create a new enemy, or the Kett kidnap and genetically modify people to bolster their ranks.

Mass Effect Andromeda will release March 21st for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
