Brand new images from the upcoming Assassin’s Creed movie have been released online, and appear to show off a rather unique looking sword.

The photos, as you can see at the bottom of this post, all show various angles on a few key swords, one of which looks to have the head of a man on the bottom of the hilt. It’s anyone’s guess as to who this man could actually be, but knowing the Assassin’s Creed series as we do, it’s a fairly safe bet that he’s a historical figure.

Previously, we’ve seen photos of both the Abstergo logo used within the film, as well as Michael Fassbender in full garb as Callum Lynch, one of the protagonist’s of the movie. As well as Fassbender, the Assassin’s Creed movie stars Marion Cotillard, Jeremy Irons, Brendan Gleeson and Micheal Kenneth Williams, all in undisclosed roles at this time.

The Assassin’s Creed movie will launch December 21st, 2016, and was shot in part at Pinewood Studios in London, made famous through various James Bond and Marvel movies.
