Nintendo will be sponsoring an upcoming video game tournament, Called Apex 2015, which features the recently released Super Smash Bros on the Wii U. Team Apex announced Nintendo’s support over Twitter, which Nintendo later confirmed with a retweet.

“We are pleased to announce that is partnering with @NintendoAmerica to bring an incredible event,” says the tweet.

Apex 2015 will be taking place on January 30 – February 1 in Secaucus, New Jersey and will include all four console Smash Bros games, Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, Ultra Street Fighter 4 and Killer Instinct.   • Yay New Jersey. Are Pokemon games fighting games? Well I guess head to head games of chess in the form of RPG monsters. Smash Brothers, Killer Instinct and USF4 are all good for a lineup. Heck they can have the original Killer Instinct and Street Fighter 2 there. Its all good. Only thing missing is Mortal Kombat.

      It would be awesome to go to this event, a shame it’s a bit too far from me otherwise I’d probably go and check it out!
