As of this month, Creative Assembly have been developing the Total War series for 15 whole years. To celebrate, the developers are re-releasing their older games on Steam, discounting the series and giving players the chance to play for free this weekend until Sunday, June 28, at 10 AM Pacific time.
If you feel like sinking your teeth into the series after the weekend there is always the option to buy the games you want for a discounted price. Almost every game and DLC are on discount this time around which makes this the perfect time to broaden your strategy gaming horizons.
The six games that are available this weekend are:
- Total War: Attila
- Total War: Rome II
- Total War: Shogun 2
- Total War: Shogun 2 – Fall of the Samurai
- Empire: Total War
- Napoleon: Total War
- Medieval II: Total War
Total War: Attila was the most recent release in February this year and has been cut down to $15 for the weekend. While nearly all of games and DLCs are on offer, one that is not is the recently released DLC for Attila, The Last Roman expansion pack.
It’s fair to say The Creative Assembly have their hands full with the re-releases of their older titles as well as working currently on Total War: Arena, Total War: Warhammer and Total War Battles: Kingdom.
