If you were hoping to see what Master Chief hides beneath that mask in Halo 5 Guardians, bad news. Much like The Stig never took off his helmet in Top Gear – apart from that one time they pretended it was Michael Schumacher all along – the Chief will not be revealing his face in the upcoming Halo game. So mysterious.
Halo 5 creative director Tim Longo simply stated that “he doesn’t take his helmet off” when asked whether or not we will get to see the real man beneath the suit in Halo 5’s campaign.
Master Chief will still play a heavy role in the campaign of course, with both he and Spartan Locke the two key characters in the plot. Whether or not they are on the same side is debatable but we only have to wait until October 27 to find out. Are you disappointed or does this news not bother you?
