Capcom announced their sixth installment of Ace Attorney series earlier this week. The website for the game is now open and with it comes our first look at the game.

Ace Attorney 6 is rather unusual compared to the rest of the franchise. Rather than being set in Japan, the game takes place in a currently unknown eastern nation in which people “put their faith in the souls of the dead.”

Somehow Phoenix Wright is forced to defend his tour guide in this foreign land with a vastly different legal system. According to a recent developer interview, the country’s courts have prosecutors but no defense attorneys. Additionally, current screenshots suggest that an octagonal water mirror plays an important role in the court.

More information regarding the game is scheduled to come during this year’s Tokyo Game Show.
