Bungie has said that there will be maintenance for a total of six hours today, rendering Destiny completely offline until 5 pm eastern time. The maintenance started at 11 eastern this morning and is most likely prepping the game for the upcoming Taken King expansion as well as fixing bugs.
“Once maintenance is concluded, all services and Destiny login functionality will be restored,” Bungie wrote, adding that Bungie.net sign-in and the Destiny companion app “may be restricted” during the maintenance period.
Once maintenance is complete you can also go back and try to complete the 10 Moments of Triumph for an exclusive reward. This can be completed anytime before September 9th for the reward.
