It’s rough. When it Metroid Prime: Federation Force was announced at E3 last year, it was met with scathing criticisms from onlookers for not being the Metroid game people demanded. In the latest Nintendo Direct, the team talked about why this game exists. Not only that, but a showcase of the game is shown with the trailer above.
Metroid Prime series producer Kensuke Tanabe came to the defense of the game during the Direct, he stated that game was a necessity in order to paint a better story between the Galactic Federation and Space Pirates, something he had wanted to be done for so long.
Federation Force is a 3DS shooter with 3 player co-op. The team will progress through various rooms and go through enemies and puzzles in order to take down the Space Pirates.
Metroid Prime: Federation Force is planned for release sometime in Spring 2016 on the Nintendo 3DS.
