Whether it is a fighting game, a hero shooter, or pretty much any game that a large cast of characters battling against one another, there are always going to be those who seem too strong and those who seem too weak. Developers are always doing the best they can to balance everything out. Let’s take a look at the latest update on PC for the ever popular Overwatch.

Most of the time when a new character is released, they are usually a bit overpowered and need to be brought down. This is not the case, however, for Overwatch’s latest, Ana. While she has had positive feedback from fans, Blizzard still feel she could use some help in the support area. Here are her updates:

  • Biotic Rifle
    • Rate of fire increased by 20%
    • Magazine size increased from 8 to 10
  • Targets of Ana’s Sleep Dart will no longer instantly recover when damaged (recovery time is now 0.5 seconds)

After going back and forth with nerfs and buffs,  Overwatch’s western gunslinger, McCree, is back to getting a little bump. Here are his updates:

  • Peacemaker
    • Primary Fire
      • Damage falloff range decreased by 10 meters
        • Damage falloff amount is unchanged
        • As a result, even with this change, McCree’s effective range is still higher than it was at launch
    • Alternate Fire
      • Rate of fire increased by 15%
  • Flashbang
    • Recovery time (i.e. the amount of time before McCree can fire again) decreased from 0.5 seconds to 0.35 seconds

While these updates are only PC, they will eventually go into Overwatch on PS4 and Xbox with a larger update.
