Bandai Namco has enjoyed the release of the third installment of the Dark Souls franchise. Dark Souls III is the fastest selling title in the publisher’s history. And now From Software has announced The Ringed City, the last DLC for the game, which will challenge players to face the end of the world, and to fight their way into the fiery depths to find The Ringed City.

In a press release from the developers, they describe the chilling scenario players find themselves in. The world ends with all the lands converging on themselves, and you will be tasked to travel to the Ringed City to learn the secrets of the past. It promises to be a difficult adventure, pitting you against ancient monsters, people on the edge of madness and finally, at the Ringed City itself, players will have “new horrors to overcome.”

This final DLC is a follow up to the Ashes of Ariandel expansion, which was set against snowy, mountainous peaks. The Ringed City DLC sounds to be the complete opposite, based in a land of fire, depth and darkness. It comes with new bosses, weapons, armor and magic to tackle, all with a backdrop described as, “visually arresting environments that evoke a sense of destroyed beauty.”

The Ringed City DLC will be available as a digital download for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, along with being purchasable via Steam for PC. It is priced at $14.99, but for an extra $10 you can enjoy the Ashes of Ariandel as well, with the Season Pass. The choice is up to you, but anything from the mind of Hidetaka Miyazaki is surely an enthralling and immersive experience.

The DLC is due for release on March 28th. For any further announcements regarding Dark Souls III or the additional content, be sure to check in to Gamespresso.
