Bethesda at GDC 2015 announced that their 2014 smash-hit Wolfenstein: The New Order is getting the prequel treatment in the form of a two-part adventure: Wolfenstein: The Old Blood.

With MachineGames returning to the helm for The Old Blood, Bethesda revealed that the game will in fact be a direct prequel to the events of The New Order. Set in 1946, The Old Blood stars hero BJ Blazkowicz, following his actions and adventures leading up to the 2014 game.

Split into two parts, the game will be available at $19.99/£14.99 /€19.99/$39.95 AUS for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

Bethesda are expected to reveal more information come PAX Prime this weekend.

Wolfenstein: The Old Blood releases on May 5th for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
