According to the United States Patent and Trademark office, Sony has failed to renew the trademark for From Software’s recent release, Bloodborne.

Along with Bloodborne, Sony has also abandoned the trademarks for No Heroes Allowed: No Puzzles Either!, How Games Were Meant to Sound, Kill Strain, and Guns Up! The reason given was, “no Statement of Use or Extension Request timely filed after Notice of Allowance was issued.”

This news comes a little over a month after Sony failed to renew the trademark for The Last Guardian back in February, though they renewed the title earlier this month. It is likely that this is a similar mistake, at least for Bloodborne.

Bloodborne was released exclusively for the PlayStation 4 today in North America and will be released March 27 in the U.K.  The game has already received almost unanimous high scores from other outlets and has received a score of 93 out of 100 so far on Metacritic.
