On the blu-ray disc that was included as part of the bonus items for Persona 4: Dancing All Night Crazy Value Pack released in Japan, was a trailer for Persona 5. The trailer was intended for private use, however of course it wasn’t that way for long. The trailer was uploaded to YouTube, although a lot of the videos are being pulled down from YouTube. I expect it will be put up and pulled down over the next couple of hours.

The trailer, however, was able to be watched by some before it was pulled down. The trailer opens with the main character awakening his Persona. Then it shows the player being a student by day and a thief by night, something a lot of fans thought was going to be the case.

The trailer also apparently put huge emphasis on traps in the dungeon. This must have something to do with the characters being thieves and having to avoid traps. It also showed some of the support characters, such as the cat who uses a slingshot we saw in other trailers.

Katsura Hashino offered information about this game, saying that the developer is “going with a challenge that fuses together a juvenile school setting that is as large as life, together with a picaresque romance.”

While the trailer keeps being pulled up and down, there is no way it won’t be soon seen by all of fans of the series. I’m excited for more Persona 5 news, even if it wasn’t supposed to be released.

Atlus confirmed that Persona 5 will be released before the end of 2015 in North America.
