Super Meat Boy is an acclaimed platformer from indie studio Team Meat. The game has been available for the Xbox 360 and PC for some time now, and will now be coming to PlayStation platforms soon.

Team Meat has announced that Super Meat Boy will be coming to the PlayStation 4 and PS Vita this fall. Team Meat co-founder Tommy Refenes stated on the PlayStation Blog that the team could not bring Super Meat Boy to the PlayStation 3 for “very complicated reasons.” Whatever those reasons were, the team has worked it out and can now bring the game to PlayStation consoles.

Refenes states: “We actually never ever EVER thought this day would come and it makes us both so happy that it’s finally here. We know this has been a long time coming but better late than never.”

Super Meat Boy will be free for PlayStation Plus members when the game comes out. Refenes states: “That’s our way of saying ‘Thank you for waiting patiently’ to all those PlayStation fans that reached out to us over the years only to get back a ‘we can’t do it, sorry’ response.”

Super Meat Boy will release on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita this fall. The game is already available on PC and Xbox 360.
