Assassin’s Creed fans rejoice, the next game of the franchise will be making sense of what exactly is happening in the story. In a recent interview with Marc-Alexis Cote, the creative director for Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, Cote said that Syndicate will bring back the modern-era story line and “make sense” of the battle between the Templars and Assassins.

The Assassin’s Creed story sort of fell of the rails after Assassin’s Creed III when (SPOILER ALERT) Desmond, the main character, was killed off. Since then Cote admitted that the franchise has been in a transition phase. The past two games, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag and Assassin’s Creed Unity have been put in place to transition the franchise from the Desmond storyline into the next storyline.

In the interview Cote said that the conflict between the Assassins and Templars would once again have weight in the story. Assassin’s Creed is set to come out on October 23rd, 2015, on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
