Bungie has announced that the Destiny servers will be offline until 12:00 pm PDT for a scheduled maintenance. Players will not be able to log into Destiny until the maintenance is over. The servers were taken offline at 4:00 am PDT, meaning that players will not have access to the game for a total of eight hours today.
This is not the first time that Bungie have performed an extended maintenance on their Destiny servers. Two weeks ago the servers were down for six hours. The stoppages are meant to fix any problems or glitches that may be occurring in the game. We will have to wait and see to find out what exact fixes were implemented with this maintenance.
Destiny was released for Xbox One, Xbox 360, Playstation 4, and Playstation 3 on September 9th. It is Bungie’s first new franchise since the Halo series.
