Techland made a splash in 2011 with its zombie survival game Dead Island, and their latest game Dying Light is set to receive its first major DLC expansion.
“The Following” will introduce a new map the same size as all of the original Dying Light’s maps combined, new vehicles and crucially a new storyline which will flesh out more of Techland’s survivalist world. Player feedback is also a key aspect of the new DLC:
“We also kept a close eye on player feedback to help tailor what we’ve created here… Hopefully people will see that this new expansion is first and foremost, for the fans.”
The DLC expansion will feature “a number of bold game-changers”, but details are a little sparse right now. More details will be revealed soon at the closed reveal of The Following to journalists at Gamescom behind closed doors, with a full reveal to follow “shortly after”
The Following will be available as part of the $20 Dying Light DLC pass. It will also be available separately, but pricing is unconfirmed at this time.
