Facebook’s time is coming to an end on all PlayStation platforms except the PlayStation 4. The Facebook app was removed from the PlayStation Store on September 15th. The company has stated that it will stop supporting all Facebook features by January 2016 for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, and PlayStation TV.

There has been no reasoning given to explain the loss of support, but it isn’t the first time we’ve seen this. Earlier this year, Sony also stopped supporting YouTube and Maps on PS Vita. Could this be further evidence of Sony slowly phasing out the PlayStation Vita?

Sony only had this to say: “We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and we appreciate your understanding.” What are your thoughts on PlayStation getting rid of Facebook from all but their flagship platform? Does it affect you? Let us know in the comments below!
