Merely months ago, Pillars of Eternity had its first expansion: The White March – Part 1 which breathed new life into the game and added new party members, abilities and raising the level cap. It was announced by Obsidian Entertainment that the second and final part of the expansion will be released this Winter. Pillars of Eternity: The White March – Part 2 will be released in late January 2016.
The second expansion will have players move on past the snowy boarders of The Eastern Reach. In terms of content, a new character called ‘Meneha’ the Barbarian is introduced, the level cap rises yet again, brand new abilities, new quests and a ‘Story Time’ mode which allows players who love the lore to just listen to a run down of the story.
Obsidian Entertainment has been responsible for many solid RPG titles including Fallout: New Vegas, South Park: The Stick of Truth and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II. Their Kickstarted project Pillars of Eternity has been met with favorable reviews and even managed to secure the #6 position in Metacritic’s top 15 PC games of 2015. The second expansion will conclude this chapter of the story. Word of new stories popping up in the world is still up in the air.
