Marvel Studios fight have found there director for there upcoming 2018 movie, The Black Panther. The studio is in talks with director Ryan Coogler to direct the film. Coogler recently directed the seventh film in the Rocky series, Creed. Due to Creed’s success, the studio targeted Coogler for the job.

This is in fact the second time that the studio has opened talks with Coogler. They approached him earlier this year, but the two were not able to come to an agreement. Due to Coogler’s recent success with Creed, which has received strong reviews, talks have opened back up.

If Marvel is able to acquire Coogler for the job, they would add him, along with actor Chadwick Boseman to the project. Boseman signed on earlier this year to play the role and will be appearing in the upcoming Marvel film, Captain America 3: Civil War. The Black Panther will be Marvel’s first black superhero in a standalone film.
