Though managing to stay stable through the holidays, it appears the PSN is currently suffering issues. Following wide-spread reports of PSN being unavailable to some users, Sony has confirmed the outage. Currently, everything from account management, to online gaming, the PS Store and media streaming are experiencing problems.

Across the board Sony has confirmed the problems, stating, “Our engineers are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible, and we thank you for your patience.”

It is important to note that it’s not yet confirmed if these issues are affecting all users or if it is simply a large group.

The PSN and Xbox Live are both no strangers to outages around the holidays. Last year a cyber attack left both services crippled for Christmas day. As of yet, it is unclear whether this specific outage is due to an attack or simply technical issues. Have you been affected? Let us know in the comments.
