Hitman GO released for mobile back in 2014, but now Square Enix has announced when we will see the title make the jump to PS4, PS Vita, and PC. Next week, Febuary 23rd, Hitman Go Definitive Edition will release for $7.99.

A turn-based strategy/puzzle game, Hitman GO takes the core staples of the Hitman games and maps them into a radically different format. Sneaking past guards, hiding in bushes, and even using disguises are part of the game, but in an addictive puzzle set-up where each level is made to look like pieces on a game board.

“It’s basically the good old Hitman GO you loved on mobile, with updated visuals and all the great content we added on to it,” Nicolas Verge, Community Manager for Square Enix Montreal explained.

“Whether you’re on PlayStation or PC we have got you covered in terms of platform specific integration. If you’re a PlayStation fan, the PlayStation 4 and Vita versions are cross-buy & cross-save so you can take the game on the GO anytime and play on your big screen when you come home… On Steam, you can expect the usual Steamworks integration: trading cards, emojis, wallpapers, cloud saves and Steam achievements.” The PlayStation versions will also include a platinum trophy.

This comes as Hitman’s next mainline game is scheduled to launch just weeks after on March 11th. Though coming under fire recently for its decision to do an episodic release, Hitman’s lead developer has explained it’s not only the right step for the game, but possibly for other games as well.
