Though released in the PC version only late last month, the most recent update to Ark: Survival Evolved on Xbox One introduces the giant beavers, new gadgets, and tribal alliances.

Overall, Patch 732, which is now live, brings the Xbox version close to up to date with the PC game, adding everything up to the recent Version 236 on PC.

The so-called ‘giant beavers’ are Castoroides Feliconcisor, new (unfortunately fictional) prehistoric creatures in the game. As you’d hope, they can be tamed and used as mounts.

The new update also adds handcuffs and grappling hooks for players to use to their hearts’ delight, while the tribes system is getting a new feature in the form of tribal alliances, allowing smaller tribes to band together against bigger ones.
