Want to play as a blade of grass? Ostritch? Maybe even a game where you can try out your pet rock skills? Well Everything has got you covered.
In what could only be described as synchronized confusion, a reveal trailer has been created for the game Everything, a game where you apparently can literally play as anything.
“In Everything, every single thing is a playable character; if you can see it, you can be it,” OReilly wrote in the announcement blog post. “The game lets you see the entire universe from the point of view of the thousands of things in it. In other words, there is no distinction between you and the world, or between a level and a character. All these things experience and interact with the world differently.”
What this offers from a gameplay perspective is yet to be seen. For example, how many different things you can do with certain creatures, planets, abiotic factors, and the like. It sets itself a heft goal, so we’ll have to wait until it launches to see if it achieves this.
Everything doesn’t have an official release date yet, but is expected to be a PS4 exclusive when it does launch.
