The reboot to the demon slaying shooter, Doom, will finally be hitting stores next month. Is that still too far away for you? Worry not, the open beta is coming and there should be more than enough action to hold you over until the full release date.

The official website for Doom has confirmed that the open beta will be from April 15th, 12:00 am ET to April 17th 11:59 pm ET on PC, Xbox One, and PS4. You can even preload the beta on April 12 to get right into it. It will feature both Team Deathmatch and Warpath on the maps Heatwave and Infernal.

If this is a game that you plan on purchasing, there is even more great news. Bethesda has already shared some post launch content details. A variety of free updates will bring map modules, added features, enhanced AI, and more. Of course, there will also be premium DLC packs for $14.99 that will bring new maps, weapons, playable demons, and special equipment. The first of these DLC packs will be released sometimes this summer. You can get all three planned packs at a discount with the $39.99 season pass.

Get ready to bring Doom onto your opponents on May 13, on PC, Xbox One, and PS4.
