Can the Nintendo NX bring back players who skipped the Wii U generation?

Ubisoft seems to think so, declaring in what can only be described as a bold statement, Ubisoft’s EMEA head, Alain Corre has revealed that the company has worked closely with Nintendo during the development of the console, and believes it will easily bring back old players who may have passed on the Wii U.

“We have always appreciated the relationship with Nintendo, the co-creation and the fact that they are really concentrating on quality — they have fantastic brands,” Corre told MCV. “And they are addressing the family market in a very different way, their own way, which we appreciate. We have done a lot of products and successes with Nintendo in the past, and we believe that the NX will recapture a lot the lapsed Wii players. So we will see when they release it, but we are confident.”

Very little is known about the mysterious NX at this time, but at Ubisoft’s 2016 E3 press conference last week, they confirmed that their family-friendly titled Just Dance 2017 will officially make its way to Nintendo’s next console when it launches next year, after releasing on Wii and Wii U this coming fall.
