Back in the day, there were a number of great side-scrolling beat’em ups. These include River City Ransom, Double Dragon, Streets of Rage, and many more. Since the age of 3D gaming came about, there has been a heavy decline in this genre. Now, however, you can get your fix in a much more violent way with the release of Mother Russia Bleeds.
Developed by the independent Le Cartel and Developer Digital, Mother Russia Bleeds is set in an alternate history U.S.S.R., where you and 3 friends can walking around beat all the baddies to a pulp. Be warned, this game is very violent and not for those with weak stomachs. If you have no problem with this, then go for the Campaign or put your skills to the test with the brutal Survival Mode.
Something satisfying about Mother Russia Bleeds is that the enemies you are beating up are mostly drug dealers.
