Crystal Dynamics has released footage of Rise of the Tomb Raider running on the upcoming PlayStation 4 Pro console, featuring multiple visual improvements.

Gary Snethen, Crystal Dynamics chief technology officer, explained in a tech video that three different visual options are available to players on PS4 Pro – 4K Resolution, High Frame Rate, and Enriched Visuals.

The 4K Resolution mode provides enhancements to textures, silhouettes and other effects, running at 30 frames per second. The High Frame Rate mode lets players play at 60 fps at 1080p resolution with smoother animations. Enriched Visuals plays at 30 fps at 1080p, but uses the extra power to improve rendering effects and image quality.
