Set in the dark and imposing universe of Warhammer 40,000 is the FPS Space Hulk: Deathwing. The Technical Beta of the game closed recently, to allow some final adjustments before full release. After feedback from the community, it turns out that the game needed more than just a few tweaks. This has led Streum On Studio and Focus Home Interactive to delay the release from the scheduled 9th December back to the 14th December.

According to the news page for the game, tens of thousands of players have had their say on what they liked, or disliked about Space Hulk: Deathwing. This led to changes needing to be made to things such as loading times, performance optimization and the menu interface among others. The developers state that most of the smaller issues, as well as some documented bugs and glitches, have already been addressed. Further time has been required to make sure the game is launch ready, and all of the Technical Beta issues are ironed out. In the best interests of the community, the decision was made to postpone the release.

The uncut trailer from the single-player campaign mode has given fans something to enjoy while they wait. It shows the kind of dangerous and threatening environment that is awaiting players on board the infested Space Hulk craft.

Space Hulk: Deathwing is now available on pre-order from Steam for 15% off until the new release date of the 14th December. You also receive the bonus in game weapon of the “Lost Mace of Corswain” for purchasing early. The title is scheduled for release on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One some time next year.
