Bethesda provided players with a nice spin-off to their Fallout series last year with the mobile app Fallout Shelter on Android and iOS devices. Xbox One and Windows PC users can now look forward to their own adventures in the Wastelands with the imminent arrival of the game to the respected platforms.

Announced on the Xbox News website, the game will be released on February 7th via the Windows or Xbox store. It will be the same as the mobile title, with all the rooms, challenges and customization features available to play with.

Fallout Shelter is also included as an Xbox Play Anywhere title, so you can transfer your progress across both machines. This allows you to bring your saves, achievements and Vault designs with you, on whichever platform you decide to play on.

The job of Vault Overseer in the dangerous world of Fallout 4 is no easy task. You will have to manage your Vault Dwellers, assigning them with the jobs best suited to their S.P.E.C.I.A.L. attributes. You’ll have to manage your resources so the Vault doesn’t run short of food, water, and power. Don’t forget about exploring the Wastelands for valuable materials and equipment, placing your chosen Dweller in mortal danger in the process. This is all alongside keeping everybody radiation free, and given the chance, increasing the population of your Vault through recruitment and even child-birth.

Fallout Shelter is a game that can have you playing for hours at a time, or just dropping by every so often to see how things are getting along. If you are a fan of the Bethesda Fallout series, then this game should be considered for your collection.
