Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition is the definitive edition of the 2008 title, featuring additional content and a gameplay boost. Today, the game has been given a western release date.

Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition will arrive in North America and Europe on June 23rd. The game will release on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The game will cost gamers $25, and will be digital only outside of Japan. Those who pre-order the game will receive extra costumes for Lady and Trish, while PlayStation 4 owners will also get a custom theme. A trailer for the game was also released, which can be seen below. The trailer gives a glimpse of all the playable characters in action, as well as show off some of the new playable modes.

Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition will be adding a number of new features to the original title. The game will now run at 1080p at 60 frames per second with some balancing being done. The game will feature three new playable characters alongside Dante and Nero: Vergil, Trish, and Lady (gameplay for Vergil can be seen here, and gameplay for Trish here). A new mode called the Legendary Dark Knight mode is also being added, which has players fighting through waves of enemies.
