343 Industries recently announced that Big Team Battle will not be part of Halo 5: Guardians at launch. However, executive producer Josh Holmes has said that 343 Industries does plan to add a BTB mode post-launch, but there is currently no timetable.
Holmes also reminded fans of Halo 5’s brand new game type, Warzone. Warzone is a 12v12 game mode that was announced back at E3. Warzone takes place on the biggest maps to ever come to the Halo franchise. The maps are four times bigger, to be more exact, than any other Halo map. Holmes described Warzone by saying, “Warzone is the evolution of BTB, on steroids”.
Halo 5 Guardians comes to gamers on October 27th, 2015 for the Xbox One. The game will feature 20+ maps with over 15 more maps coming in a free DLC before June of 2016.
