There’s a free content update coming for all Bloodborne players, regardless of whether or not those players are going to buy the upcoming Old Hunters DLC pack.

The main focus of this patch is adding a number of NPC hunters into the game, called The League. This group is led by “a mysterious figure in a constable’s garb and bucket helmet”. Sounds slightly strange, which is exactly what we should expect from anything associated with Bloodborne.

A brand new weapon called The League cane is also being added through the update, as well as the ability to call in AI-controlled allies online, to help you through the more challenging areas of the game.

The Old Hunters, Bloodborne’s only planned DLC pack, is due out on November 24th, and it is unclear at this time if the free content update will be available on the same day.

The Holy Moonlight Sword, a new weapon available with the update.
