In case you curious what the new PS2 emulation on PS4 looks like, YouTube user Jack Tanooki has you covered. The emulation is currently available through purchase of the PS4 Battlefront Bundle. Four PS2 Star Wars games are available to download via PSN with a code that comes with the Battlefront bundle:Super Star Wars (originally a SNES title) , Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter, Star Wars: Racer’s Revenge and Star Wars: Bounty Hunter.

There is currently no word about any plans to expand the emulation beyond these Star Wars titles or whether this emulation could be used  as a workaround to provide backwards compatibility on the PS4.

What do our readers think?

With the prevalence of HD re-releases is backwards compatibility still relevant?

What PS2 game would you most like to see emulated on PS4?

There are a lot of PS2 games I would like to play on PS4. But first, I want to know when I can purchase Bounty Hunter for myself since I did not get the bundle.

I’d bet there’ll be some announcement at Playstation Experience next week. Let’s hope the announce a ton of games.

Onimusha would be great, along with most Capcom games since they don’t seem interested in developing many of their IPs.
