The newly released Xbox One Elite Controller, which launched alongside Halo 5: Guardians last week, is rapidly selling out across the globe, Microsoft has announced.
The controller was priced at $150, which was certainly elite in every sense of the word, but this hefty price tag hasn’t stopped people around the world from snapping them up, as many retailers are now reported to have sold through their entire stock in less than a week.
“We’re thrilled at the amount of interest we’ve received for the Xbox One Elite Wireless Controller” a Microsoft representative told Gamesbeat. “We are working quickly to get more units of the Xbox One Elite Wireless Controller in the hands of fans, and look forward to replenishing your inventory in time for the holidays.”
Shipments of the newly released controller are reportedly arriving at retailers every week from now on, although Microsoft has warned that the Elite Controller will be available in “limited” supply through November.
