If you want to play Gears of War 4 on October 7th, you’re going to have to shell out $99.99 for the Ultimate Edition according to Xbox’s website.
Gears of War 4 releases officially on October 11th for everyone else, making it the game to play this Halloween season. This is the first addition to the franchise released for the Xbox One, and the Ultimate Edition comes with all three previous installments of the game.
On top of that, a season pass for DLC will also be included with the game. You’ll also get the Gears of War 4 Vintage Del Multiplayer Character, which will be unlocked once the game launches.
A full description of the season pass is as follows, “Five exclusive digital items as part of the Vintage VIP Pack, including the Vintage JD character skin, Vintage Gnasher and Dropshot weapon skins, Vintage JD Emblem and Vintage JD Bounty for extra XP; permanent DLC map ownership of over 24 additional maps (two per month for a year) for private play on dedicated servers; an exclusive VIP “Early Access” Playlist that grants a preview to upcoming modes, maps and variants; and six Gear Packs which unlock special character and weapon skins, equipment and abilities, and XP boosting bounties.”
