We are less than 24 hours away from the full launch of Overwatch and people couldn’t be more excited. The open beta was a massive success and gamers can’t wait to have permanent access to this hero shooter. Blizzard may have one more trick up its sleeve before the clock strikes midnight.
There is still a slight possibility that a new hero could be announced for Overwatch, right before it is released late tonight. This rumor, originating with the idea that a new character may be revealed this past weekend, came from numerous hints towards someone named Sombra. Not only does Reaper ask “Where is Sombra when you need her?” when loading into the map, but she is referenced in the Soldier 76 short. There are newspaper articles with this name and an alert that reads “Sombra Protocol.”
Some believe this Sombra to possibly be Pharah’s mother, Ana. She is said to have been on the original Overwatch team with Soldier 76 and Reaper. Whether a new hero is revealed before launch tonight or not, I’m sure we’ll see more on this Sombra name soon enough.
