A Kickstarter campaign has been started for Fable Fortune, a collectible card game based off of the fantasy RPG franchise.

Fable Fortune is a free-to-play card game set in the world of Albion. The game is being created by Flaming Foul Studios, a team comprised of ex-Lionhead developers. The game was an unannounced project from Lionhead, and has been in development for almost 18 months. Microsoft gave the rights to the game to the team, who are looking to fund the game through Kickstarter.

The game will feature three unique systems. The first is Location, which places the game in an environment from the fable franchise. Each location will have quests for the players to complete, helping make each match a little different.

The second system, Quests, are tasks that players are able to complete to receive in-game rewards to help them in fights. Players will have to build decks and strategies to complete a location’s quest and reap the rewards.

Morality is the final system, and is a system that Fable veterans will be familiar with. By choosing between good and evil traits, players abilities will shift along with morphing some cards in their deck into specialized variants.

Fable Fortunes will release on PC and Xbox One if it is completely funded. Stretch goals do include Android and iOS versions of the game. Flaming Foul has set a $365k goal, and has received $30k at the time that this article was published.
