Since its release on October 25th, Farming Simulator 17 has set a new record in sales- over 1 million copies sold in the Christmas rush. To put the sales in perspective, Farming Simulator 16 has sold 3 million copies over 2 years.

Thomas Frey, Creative Director GIANTS Software says, “Reaching one million players in such a short amount of time is simply amazing. It makes us very happy to see that Farming Simulator 17 is being received so well after all the work we’ve put in the game and the additional people we brought on board to make our largest project ever come to life.” “In our publisher Focus Home Interactive, we have a great partner who fully supports our vision of creating a game that lives up to the expectations of our passionate community throughout all stages of development and release, which led to this success”

Despite being released for less consoles than the last game, Farming Simulator 17 has been really well received, with overwhelmingly positive reviews. It’s reached a new high on Steam, with 220,000 digital copies sold. The game was also number one for in-store sales on all platforms on day one in Germany, despite all the highly anticipated games being released in the same time frame.

Farming Simulator 17 is actually 15% off on Steam, if anyone plans on adding to the numbers. It’s also available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
