December is here and for the majority of people around the world, that means getting ready to celebrate a joyous holiday that brings family and friends together. What better set of family and friends than a community brought together by one of the greatest and most successful games of the year. In this case, I am talking about the award winning Overwatch.
In a very teasing post on Twitter from the official Overwatch page, there is an image of a snow covered street and the simple line, “You’re invited.” The image also opens up as a post card and states that December 13th on Overwatch is where and when you can join in for some holiday cheer. Unfortunately, there was no other information given, but you can be sure that it will be something fun and festive.
Those who run the Overwatch Twitter page also seemed to be having some fun with the replies on this post. One fan asked to see a screenshot of a new skin. They responded with a human skin picture taken out of your 4th grade science textbook. They also asked a fan who showed excited if they’ve been naughty or nice, saying that they were checking their list. While these responses most likely have nothing to do with the event, it is good to see some fun surrounding it before it even begins.
