Payday 2 developers, Overkill, have pledged to continue supporting the game until 2017. Payday 2 is a game about pulling off heists, team work and fixing rubbish drills constantly; the game at its core level is a team based game and with co-op capability can make it a popular game amongst small groups of friends, youtubers and streamers.

The developers signed a contract with the publisher to fetch more money for the game. Despite having over £70’s worth of DLC content already the developers have now promised to continue to add to the mound of extra content for the games loyal fans. The extra money will also be put into free updates for all players and new campaigns to keep the game fresh and interesting over the next two years.

We are very excited about this. We love working on PAYDAY 2 and look forward taking care of our game for two more years, making new free updates, paid DLC’s and awesome campaigns together with the community.

Payday 2 was originally released in 2013 on PC and is due to be released on PS4 and Xbox One this June with all previously released DLC.

Overkill will be working on Payday 2 alongside two other large projects, including a new the Walking Dead shooter, which could limit the time the developers can put into the game for the time being at least. It’s possible there will be much more content to be released this year with the game being released on console though it is not confirmed yet if this is the case.

We have a lot in store for the rest of the year and have no time to rest.
