H1Z1, popular early access game by Daybreak Game Company, will soon be implementing female characters to the game. It was a feature that was promised to fans early in the game’s development.

The game has currently sold over 1 million copies. That’s a huge feat for an early access game that was only released in January and had exceeding amounts of backlash due to glitches. There was also a new male model added in the most recent update.

It seems to be on par now with DayZ, their competitor game. Both seem to be one up over Rust, who recently added new models but also locks players to their particular skin tone permanently., which is causing a decent amount of controversy in the gaming community.

CEO John Smedley's tweet about the update

Do you think H1Z1 should have had female counterparts from the beginning?
