Runbow, coming to Wii U later this year, is a nine person game that’s part platformer and part racer. Developed by 13AM Games, it was announced today that the roster of characters available to choose from is getting a few familiar faces when it arrives on the eShop later this year.
The title character from Shovel Knight, Juan and Tostada from Guacamelee!, and Rusty from Steamworld Dig are just a few of the characters the developer revealed to be included the game via a new trailer from Gamespot. The full list of characters is seen below.
Shovel Knight — Shovel Knight
Juan and Tostada — Guacamelee!
CommanderVideo and CommandGirlVideo — BIT.TRIP Presents…Runner2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien
Swift Thornebrooke — Sportsball
Scram Kitty — Scram Kitty and His Buddy On Rails
Rusty — Steamworld Dig: A Fistful of Dirt
Despite these additional characters, no special stats or powers will accompany their arrival according to the developer.
“Adding these characters came from a desire to celebrate games we love and fellow eShop developers who have been supportive of Runbow,” a 13AM Games representative said.
